4 month old - Growth and Development

It is hard to comprehend the speed with which your baby grows and develops.  One minute they are staring around the room with their flittering newborn eyes, the next they are trying to hike themselves up on a chair to watch you wash the dishes!

Your baby's first year of life is marked by so many milestones it is hard to keep a count of them.  One of the big ones is definitely the move to solids, in more ways than one.  Not only does the move to solids introduce more nutrition in to your baby's diet, but it also teaches them a raft of important life skills such as how to eat and chew, whilst also developing the right muscles for speech.  It's pretty impressive, that busy little growing body of your little one!
